Adult Degree Pathway
Introducing ÃÛѨÊÓƵ's adult degree pathway
ÃÛѨÊÓƵ offers a flexible degree pathway to a bachelor's degree in education in as little as two years! This program is designed for working adults who want to teach elementary school, K-12 special education, or K-12 English language development (ESOL). Courses take place in the evenings on-campus or online and you can begin during any term throughout the year.
If you currently hold a bachelor’s degree in a major outside of education or an AAOT degree with pre-education coursework at an Oregon community college, you can complete the program in two years.
If you want to earn your first degree in education online please sign up for an informational session to learn more and ask specific questions. These reoccurring sessions are held during the summer on Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
After completing the general education and pre-education coursework at any Oregon community college, or through a previously earned bachelor’s degree, you can transfer your coursework to ÃÛѨÊÓƵ. You'll then complete 10-14 courses here plus student-teaching in a classroom setting.

Now accepting applications! ÃÛѨÊÓƵ before August 1 and be among the first in our fall term.
Prerequisite coursework for OCE programs must either appear on ÃÛѨÊÓƵ’s pre-approved equivalency list or be reviewed individually by the Program Director and University Registrar for possible approval. Official transcripts are required for all equivalency reviews. For courses not already included on the pre-approved list, applicants may also be asked to provide a full course syllabus to allow for a more thorough content review.
To be approved, coursework must demonstrate clear and substantial content equivalency to the required ÃÛѨÊÓƵ course. Courses with only partial or loosely related content are unlikely to meet equivalency requirements.
Teacher licensure programs in Oregon are approved by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission according to Oregon licensure standards. As an approved educator preparation provider, ÃÛѨÊÓƵ is responsible for ensuring that all required standards and licensure requirements aligned to specific coursework have been fully addressed prior to program admission.
