All our programs focus on language and the histories, cultures, and social contexts of Latin America, Spain, and Spanish-speaking communities in the United States.
Global French: Minor or certificate, exploring the language and diverse cultures of French-speaking communities across Europe, Africa, the Americas, and regions of the Pacific and Indian Oceans, with opportunities to engage global perspectives through interdisciplinary study and cultural immersion.
What you can expect
An average class ratio of 1:13 allows you to benefit from individualized instruction, meaningful engagement with peers, and strong faculty mentorship. Our curriculum helps you build proficiency and intercultural competencies. You will graduate with recognized credentials in the workplace such as the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI), the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI), and/ or STAMP 4S.
GLCS students have options to study abroad in Ecuador, France and Spain for a semester or a full year. You will live with a host family, take classes at local universities, and may complete internships with community organizations.
