Will my AP or IB classes transfer? ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ awards credits for Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations when official score reports are received by the Registrar’s Office. Credits are awarded on a course-by-course basis in academic areas taught at ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ. Students may count up to a total of 31 credits from Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and other non-course credits towards the 120* required for graduation.
Advanced Placement (AP)
Students will receive four-semester credits for each exam passed with a score of four or five. Credits from any single AP exam may be used to fulfill only one general education area. If an AP subject has two areas listed you can choose where you would like it to apply. Refer to the to see how credits from each AP exam are awarded.
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Students will receive four-semester credits for each standard-level exam passed with a score of five, six or seven and eight-semester credits for each higher-level exam passed with a score of five, six or seven. Students earning the full IB Diploma with a score of 30 or higher will be awarded an additional four-semester credits. Credits from any single IB exam may be used to fulfill only one general education area (three exceptions noted below). *Students graduating from ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ prior to Fall 2026 must earn at least 125 semester credits.

I'm a current ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ student. How do I take a class somewhere else? If you're currently enrolled at ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ and thinking about taking a class to transfer back in, maybe online or at a local college over the summer:
- Review or to check any established equivalencies (Note: quarter credits will be converted to 2/3 of a semester credit).
- Complete the form before you take the course to be sure it will transfer back to ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ the way you want it to.
- After you finish the course, order an official transcript to be sent from that school directly to ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ.
- Once the course is transferred into ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ, you will be able to see it in Self-Service.

I have (or will have) an associate's degree. What does that mean for me? Up to 72-semester credits (108 quarter credits) of coursework completed at institutionally accredited two-year colleges can be transferred. These courses must be college-level, academic in nature and comparable to courses in the ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ course catalog. Professional and technical courses will not transfer, but up to 8 credits may be awarded for recognition of courses completed.
If you earn an associate degree designed for transfer, such as the AAOT (Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer), AA-DTA or AS-DTA (Washington Direct Transfer Agreement), IGETC (California Intersegmental General Education Transfer Curriculum), or similar degree from another state you will:
- have met all lower-division ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ Curriculum requirements
- be required to complete one upper-division course from any of the six Modes of Inquiry
- be required to take the Major Writing Intensive course in your major
- be required to meet all requirements for a bachelor's degree
If you earn another associate degree, such as A.A., A.S., A.G.S., etc, courses will be considered individually for application toward specific degree requirements.

I am a pre-nursing student. Where can I take my prerequisite courses? Current ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ students taking nursing prerequisite courses on the McMinnville campus should consult the as well as the Transfer Course Guides.
Prospective students who plan to apply directly to the School of Nursing should consult with the Admission Office.

How can I check my transfer credits with Transferology? If you're looking to transfer credit into ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ, we encourage you to assess how your coursework completed at other institutions may transfer. Using Transferology, you can easily find the courses you have completed at another institution and submit them for a quick assessment. All courses approved for transfer must meet all ÃÛѨÊÓÆµ .
Although all transfer policies must be met, we want to call specific attention to these three overarching policies.
- Completed at an institutionally accredited college or university.
- Awarded a grade of C- (1.700) or higher (Demonstration of a C or better is required for transfer of Pass/Fail courses)
- Courses taken on the quarter calendar system will transfer as 2/3 of the transcripted credits.
