Gender-Inclusive Housing
ÃÛѨÊÓƵ is committed to providing housing options that foster belonging, respect and inclusion for all students. The first floor of Mahaffey Hall is designated as a Gender-Inclusive housing community, allowing students of any gender identity or expression to live together. This housing option provides residents with the opportunity to select roommates based on personal compatibility rather than gender designation.
To support an inclusive living environment, the first floor of Mahaffey Hall includes gender-inclusive restroom facilities available to all residents. Gender-Inclusive housing is designed to create a welcoming community where students can live authentically, build meaningful connections and contribute to a residential environment grounded in respect, dignity and mutual support.
Great for students who:
- People whose gender identity differs from their sex assigned at birth.
- Those actively exploring or discovering their gender identity.
- Students who want a supportive peer group or wish to live alongside friends regardless of gender.
